About Us

Cole’s Coffee Co. is a small-batch specialty coffee roastery located in Wildomar, CA.

 

Our Story

If you’ve ever had a cup that changed the way you experience coffee, you know exactly what threw me down the rabbit hole that is the specialty coffee world. What used to be simply the morning starter fluid became a fumbling science project, slowly morphing into a tightly controlled discipline, and eventually into a downright ritual.

But the problem with specialty coffee is, well, that it’s special—meaning expensive. To give my wallet a little relief without compromising on my obsession, I started dabbling in the ever complex and hardly understandable world of coffee roasting. First, it was a whirly-pop on the kitchen stove, then an electric popcorn popper, and then a dedicated home roaster. 

On October 7th, 2022, I met my now wife for the first time over a cup of coffee. I got an Ethiopian pour over while she enjoyed a cold brew. Since then, our love for each other (and coffee) has only grown.

When we married and subsequently doubled our household coffee consumption, we quickly realized that our small home roaster wouldn’t cut it anymore. Another strange thing happened in parallel, too. Some of our friends started asking if they could buy some of the coffee we roasted. Pretty soon, we couldn’t keep up. 

Instead of buying a commercial roaster, we decided to design and build one ourselves. After about 6 months of research, trial and error, and a few tripped breakers, we finally had a working prototype.

And thus, Cole's Coffee Co. was born!

This is very much still just an experiment, but we’re happy to be exploring something new, and we’re happy that you’re here exploring with us. We hope you enjoy coffee more as a result of it.
